Day 2

Popped into Bruges for a brief lookaround (accompanied by waffles), pushed on into Germany where, on a hill between Koln and Frankfurt, the ambulance suddenly lacked power. Made it to the next junction and, while awaiting recovery and with thoughts of potential early retirement, rustled up a cheeky sausage risotto. Having eaten the fruits of our labour in the ambulance while on the back of the low loader, we were dropped off at a nearby Mercedes dealership by a German who informed us it was impossible to "make party" in the town on a Sunday night, to which Burt replied in no uncertain terms, "I make party every night". Having found the only watering hole open we were presented with beer in a Russian dolls assortment of glasses which contributed nicely to our sleep in the dealership forecourt.
