Day 1

Made last few tweaks on the ambulance before getting lost on the very short drive to Goodwood Circuit to meet relatives, friends and other well-wishers, watched some Mongolian wrestling and acquired our official rally t-shirts, said final goodbyes before taking our chaotic parade lap of the circuit (with our blow-up mascot hanging out the window) and venturing out into the unknown. Past a few already broken down teams on the way to Dover, chatted to excited ralliers on the ferry then ploughed on to the outskirts of Bruges, Belgium, completely failing to convoy with another ambulance.
