Pretty laid back morning knowing the short distance left to cover due to our Russian visas starting on Monday. Avoided any run ins with the police but had issues when filling up when we found they didn’t take cards and we had no local currency left after the previous days supermarket stop. A swift bit of phrase book usage later and we had paid slightly over the odds in Euros. Arriving at the border by 3pm we soon found ourselves with nothing to do and having to contend with the scorching mid-day sun and feeling slightly ropey after too much hot sauce the night before! Book reading and napping ensued followed by some DIY once the temperature had dropped. An early night was in order with the prospect of any number of possible issues crossing the Russian border.
