Just got back from a day at the ambulance auctions with Jon ! Saw a ridiculous number of different vehicles in various states but we have now encountered a new problem .... if they sell them to us as individuals then they are legally obliged to strip them of all their emergency stuff. Which kind of makes them useless to us !! So we have 2 options (1) try and get a private ambulance service or charity to buy it for us, in which case the auctioneers can leave it intact or (2) buy it ourselves and then buy some lights, sirens and a stretcher to refit it !! So more work is needed before we get ourselves the perfect van! We have also had a change of heart over what type of vehicle to get .... originally we wanted a mercedes as they are the best vans but as we found out today they only come in one flavour which is expensive and has a big box body which isnt suited to anything other than nice paved roads. So we are now looking at a renault (as shown in the rather fuzzy picture i took today) one of which was sold for £2000 which is much more in our price range !!

On a sadder note we are now down to 3 team members as Tom York has had to drop out due to work commitments :( but we shall soldier on without him and try to find a new team member ...... anyone interested ??
